QUOTE SYSTEM
All part requests submitted to PST (or an individual PST
member) are assigned a computer generated part quote (including
prices) and a corresponding quote number. This quote number is
useful for a number of reasons. Primarily, it is used used to
track your request from from the point of initial contact to the
ultimate delivery of your parts. This helps end the confusion of
what parts were requested and available at the time of your
request if it is several days later when you actually need to
order the parts. The quote is simply "pulled up" by number and
the information is readily available. All parts quoted by a PST
member are guaranteed to be available for 7 days from the date
of your request. In the event that parts are not available at
the time of your request, the quote number will be issued
stating that fact. This provides you with the necessary proof
that is required by most DRP agreements that you did in fact
search for alternative parts, but none were available at the
time of your request.

FREE EMAIL
ESTIMATE SCANNING
Many shops find that it is simple and easy to email their
estimate to PST for review. From the CCC Pathways estimating
system, it is simple to copy and paste your estimate into an
email. Several major insurance companies encourage this idea
because it allows all PST members to review your entire estimate
for parts that might not normally be quoted. Many items such as
coolant reservoirs, washer bottles, underhood fuse blocks,
cooling fans, radiators, condensers, etc. are often overlooked
in the search for alternative parts and are readily available at
a major savings when compared to retail OEM parts. By emailing
the estimate you get a thorough scan of the estimate and a quote
for many parts that you might not have thought were available.

FAX ESTIMATE SCANNING
For shops that are not comfortable using the email system
or those who simply do not use email for communication, PST also
offers a toll free fax line that allows you to submit your
estimate for review via fax. You get all of the same benefits of
the email program... its just done using your fax machine. It is
worth mentioning that this does not mean that your fax just ends
up on some fax machine waiting for someone to read it... Your
fax is transformed into an email by the PST RelayFax Servers and
broadcast to all members within your delivery area. Your
estimate fax is treated to the same full estimate scan that
other incoming estimate emails are given and you will receive a
quote listing the availability/prices of your parts. This reply
can come to you in the form of an email, a fax, or a phone call.
